Camp Joint Venture

Did you know arthritis is one of the most common chronic illnesses affecting children today? Recent data suggest that as many as 4 in 1000 children are dealing with arthritis on a daily basis.
Camp Joint Venture, held at Camp Twin Lakes (Rutledge, GA), is a two-day overnight summer camp for children between the ages of six to 18 who have been diagnosed with rheumatic disease (arthritis). The goal of camp is to provide children and adolescents with rheumatic disease the opportunity to participate in normal childhood activities in a summer camp setting.
I was lucky enough to attend this year. These kids are awesome. I can't wait to see them again. For more information on Camp Joint Venture, please visit www.mcghealth.org.
